Tracy Scott created this stunning Art Journal page for Craft Stamper!
“We all love cute critters and after seeing them popping up on social media, I desperately wanted to include some on my own journal pages, but I just wasn’t sure where to start. After pondering for a while and looking at various examples online, I decided to keep mine simple, to use basic shapes and then use shading to bring my whimsical animals to life.
I love to combine art materials in my projects and for this one I chose to combine acrylic paints with the fabulous Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils and Neocolor II Watersoluble Crayons. The crayons are amazing for adding a wash of colour to the body and head of my animal and the pencils work amazingly over the top and are great for adding finer details and deeper shading.
The only thing to remember when combining these pencils with the Neocolors and acrylic paints, is to ensure that the wet layers are completely dry before starting to do your shading. Neocolor crayons and acrylic paints will dry quickly in thin layers or you can use a heat gun or hairdryer to speed up the process”
