Tracy says:

“Lady Cottington’s Pressed Fairy book is one of my most treasured possessions and on seeing these beautiful stamps I knew I wanted to create a framed fairy for a child’s bedroom, with a messy splattered background. But there would be no squished fairy in sight! What fun it was using watercolour paper, Distress Stains, water and a straw to create the background. I first added water to the paper followed by the Distress Stain, then blew through the straw to push the ink around the paper.

I then stamped the delicate fairy stamp, first onto the background and again on more paper to create another layer of dimension. Spare coloured paper was used to add embellishments by using a punch to cut little circles to scatter and fix into place”
