Kitty Frampton shared this fabulous ink layering technique with us in the April issue of Craft Stamper Magazine. Using gorgeous Hunkydory flower stamps, Kitty used tone on tone ink shades to create a layered, almost 3D look to her cards!
This process is created by stamping up layers of a stamp using different tones of ink to create a 3D effect without having to colour it. It is best to give yourself plenty of work space to do this technique so you can stamp out lots of designs at the same time. I use several ink blocks so each stamp has it's own, this speeds up the process and means you don't end up with inky hands. Here, I have used dye inks which dry almost instantly so you don't have to wait in between stamping each layer.
