Transform Christmas gift packaging into a great functional project!
I have taken a gift packaging box and given it a new lease of life, as a useful stationery set. It makes a lovely gift for someone or just to keep for yourself.
The combination of Infusions and Distress ink create interesting backgrounds. Every time the result will be different and I think that adds to the appeal. It is an easy technique but the results are exciting. By adding the Distress ink to cover the white areas, you create a complete background which is ideal as a base or for paper piecing as I have done here.
The gift box was originally bright orange. I added a chipboard divider inside the box so the pens and paper could be kept separate. The base was then painted with DecoArt Chalky paint which easily covered the orange box colour.
