She says:

“On the countdown to Christmas, I always make Christmas ornaments for my tree. For this project, I have transformed a plain plastic bauble into a bright and bold decoration.

To create the textural background, I first covered the entire bauble with pieces of lace. This technique allows me to create different textures and patterns depending on the fabric or lace I use. The round bauble shape is not easy to work with, so you could also try different objects such as jars, bottles or any flat surfaces.

To make my bauble more dimensional, I adhered elements made from silicone moulds and on the sides I added plastic pearl trim using hot glue. Once everything was covered with white gesso and completely dry, the bauble was coloured with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays and the surface dimension and detail was highlighted with waxes from Finnabair.”
