La Maison des Papillons

The basic construction of the house is as described in the magazine article (see August 2011 issue). This time mark and cut three holes using matchboxes as templates. Decorate the front of the house with one layer of paper as before. Stamp butterflies to fill the matchboxes and add highlights with white Sakura pen. Add a hanger to one matchbox and cover the backs of all three. Assemble the boxes into the holes, as before making sure the one with the hanger is at the top. Stick acetate over the fronts of the matchboxes. Tear an additional layer of patterned paper to cover and frame the acetate windows.
