Here are the rest of the ATCs from Michelle’s delightful Haiku-inspired project, seen in the July 2010 issue.

For the dimensions and construction of each ATC and a full list of materials used, please refer to the magazine article.

You can download Michelle’s Haiku poems to complete the cards here

Hopefully Yearning
On white card stamp the tree branch first with brown Memento ink then mask, then stamp the bird using black Brilliance ink, mask that also then blend the sky around the image with Sailboat Blue and Denim Adirondack inks. Paint the tree with Espresso Adirondack and the bird as described in the magazine. Dry well, and emboss the small coin in gold, mat onto black card and attach to the ATC.

Strongly Ascending
Stamp and mask the branch and bird in position then punch a 1” hole in a Post-It Note. Position the hole so that is forms a sun, positioning it in the middle of the card and sponging it with Sunshine Yellow ink. Then mask the sun using the punched out shape and blend in the sky to fill the card. Stamp and emboss a profusion of red flowers and buds to complete the scene.

Eerily Present
Stamp the branch and the bird as before onto card then mask. Stamp the mountains, using Adirondack Pebble ink,so that they finish just below the top branch. Paint the mountains with a wash of Pebble using a water brush, deepening the shadows by applying more colour at their base. Blend Adirondack Oregano ink lightly under the branch, increasing the intensity of colour on the edges of the card. Colour the bird and branch as before. Attach a small coin with Glossy Accents.
