Steampunk Rose, by Jema Hewitt

Here are a couple of pretty Steampunk-style tags which co-ordinate with Jema’s polymer clay project from the October 2009 issue. Why not make the tag if giving one of her lovely necklaces as a gift?

‘Tres Chic’ Luggage Tag

Materials...

• Home Impressions: Cogs & Clocks stamp set
  
• Luggage tag
  
• Heart Warming Vintage French labels stickers
  
• Versacolour inks: Topaz; Cocoa; Brown; Black
  
• Ranger Distress Ink: Vintage Photo
  
• Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sprocket Gear
  
• Green gem brad
  
• Pink silk ribbon
  

Instructions: Distress the tag edges with Vintage Photo ink. Stamp on cogs and clocks (see Corset Card). Place French label sticker and attach the cog with a gem brad. Thread with pink silk ribbon.

‘Notes de Journal’ Luggage Tag

Materials...

• Home Impressions: Cogs & Clocks stamp set
  
• Hampton Art: Corset Stamp (DF2206)
  
• Luggage tag
  
• Heart Warming Vintage French labels stickers
  
• Versacolour inks: Topaz; Cocoa; Brown; Black; Bronze
  
• Ranger Distress Ink: Vintage Photo
  
• Pink silk ribbon
  

Instructions: Distress the tag edges with Vintage Photo ink. Stamp on the corset in bronze ink. Make a mask of the corset shape, and then stamp the cogs using the mask to keep the central image untouched. Place a French Label sticker. Thread with pink silk ribbon.
