Meet the editor of Craft Stamper magazine.

Hi, I’m Katy and I’m the Editor of Craft Stamper magazine. I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember, dabbling in pottery, doll’s houses, cross stitch and jewellery-making before I discovered papercrafting. Since then I’ve been hooked (not to mention broke)! I’m passionate about stamping and hope that comes through in the magazine each month. I love to spend time in my craft room creating; I make mostly ‘things’ (useful and decorative) and little books rather than cards, although I do make cards from time to time. I also like to scrapbook.

The best part of my job is seeing the new ideas and techniques the Craft Stamper team come up and of course all the new stash! I also love that I am able to contribute to the magazine, creating samples for you with the free stamp each month as well as writing the occasional project.

I always had an interest in art from a young age, and this is reflected in my educational background. I have an Art History & English degree and History of Ceramic Design MA. The English comes in handy for all that writing and editing too! My other hobbies include collecting ceramics, ephemera, and Festival of Britain memorabilia (I love ‘stuff’, much to my other half’s disgust). I’m also obsessed with all things Disney!

Before I got this job, I worked for many years as a Project Manager which was good preparation for the deadline-driven nature of publishing work. I feel very lucky to be where I am now – it’s hard work but seeing the finished magazine on the shelf each month makes it all worthwhile.
